Sandra GO to your local catshows. MEET the breeders that are active. I CANNOT say this enough. Breedlists are great. I'm on a few myself. BUT MEET the people you are calling. Say you want a ruddy abby. Go meet a few Abby breedrs and see who works together and who reccomends each other. Don't work with a "lone-wolf". Go SEE the home they are coming from and DO YOUR homework. Websites are fine..blah, blah, blah. But go meet the cats, and the people. Go see for YOURSELF. You will get a feel for the person you want a baby from, just like an adoption. You want someone who is active, reputable and will stand behind their baby and do right by you. Afterall you are picking a new family member. Good luck on the perfect Abby!
