What are my friends options?

My friend is getting a OTH discharge from the army but he didn't do anything leagally wrong he was on Suicide watch and was in the mental hospital and they told him it would change to a honorable after six months and he could reenlist in the reserves so what can my friend for work on the civilian side of the world?
