My ex says he loves me but we are not together? im confused?

It possible to love someone but not be with them anymore. I dont know what happened in your relationship but somethings are hard to forget . If you cheated while in the relationship are did something causeing him not to trust you It hard to let someone back in ..YOU may still love them but you worry that if you take them back you will have to go through that pain you felt all over again . If trust has been broken the relationship is screwed It will cause problems forever. Give him some time ,if its going to be it will be . After a break up your head isnt clear anyway you are scared to move on afraid of losing what you had but after going threw problems that require seperation , what you had is gone anyway . The only way to go on is to forgive and start fresh , just takes a long time if ever for the forgiving part. good luck
