Should I just stop contact with this friend or ask for an explanation?

I had this friend that I met at a community college. We met through mutual friends and we had a class together. We would text occasionally but I always started it. She answered back most of the time though. We hungout once with another friend. Over the summer, I probably asked 4 times over a month span (like once a week to hangout) and she'd either make plans and cancel or not answer at all. Last week I asked her about hanging out and she called me back to invite me to a pool party. But she never called me back to let me know I can come. Last Sunday we made plans to eat at IHOP on Monday but she texted the next day she can't because shes on her way to the hospital (I think that was a bogus excuse because she used a similar excuse before and when I asked her how she was doing a couple days later then she said she's doing good and the doctor didnt know what was wrong with her). I just found out today she deleted me off FB (or deactivated her account which I doubt). Should I text her and ask her where we stand as friend/explanation or just stop all contact with her? It confuses me why she would make plans then cancel. Had she just ignored a text message I sent her I wouldve stop texting her but she texted back. Would should I do?
